Ontario Inter-Club Challenge - Round 1

This... was not my weekend. It was my first time in a big event with more karts on track that usual and being that close to other drivers spooked me a bit. It felt like I couldn't put together a lap.

Friday was a free practice day for Goodwood club members, and I'm glad I went because I hadn't driven my new kart in the wet before. And Saturday was WET. And cold. And to be perfectly honest, kind of miserable. And my lack of love for the conditions showed in the results.

Sunday was better than Saturday because at least the sun came out, but it was still hard to pull out a good lap and stay with the pack. I have to keep reminding myself I am up against drivers who have been doing this a lot longer, and that practice makes progress. So until I get more practice under my belt, I have to expect that some days will just not be my day.
